Speaking of not looking like the book characters — Laurent was a black-haired, olive-skinned Frenchman, non? So crazy. Though I am glad the movie-makers decided to add a vampire-of-color to the scene, since Stephenie Meyer did not.
Yeah – I totes agree about Laurent. I know he appears different, but the spirit is there. I love the dreads and love the character – he does a good job.
I honestly don’t remember what James was supposed to look like…I just remember what he spoke like. He was unusually refined and polite for an obsessive vagabond. And I thought Cam was a bit fluffy – not at all scary. More like a little pervert than someone cunning and brilliant. Sorry to Cam and all…I like him just fine.
Seriously, Cam just looks sadistic here. He was a really good choice for James.
Yeah except for the extreme cheese in the line-delivery…and the whole “being nothing like the book character” thing… OH NO I DI-IN’T!
I meant it more that he was really seriously disturbing. Of course, James in the book wasn’t nearly this pretty.
